As for the energy that keeps the SY120 moving, the key is the difference between the movement of the wind and the water. The energy coming from this relative movement of wind and water is harnessed by the boat at its interface. That is done by placing the sail/sails of the boat in the air and the hulls in the water.

The project was worked on for 4 years. I would say it was worth it considering the good impact it can give not only in sailing but also in the international trading business.
