CES 2010: Philips’ Devices that Keep You Fit
When you feel like working out is a drag, you tend to slack off especially when your trainer is not ready. But what you are neglecting is that you are paying for the services of your trainer... and the gym facilities! So better get your gear moving and start burning those calories. If you need someone to keep an eye on you all the time, get the Philips' DirectLife fitness tracker and the Philips' Activa
The Philips DirectLife monitors the movements and intensity levels of a person's movement. On top of the gadget, you also get to use the services of professional coaches via a membership exclusive to DirectLife subscribers only (additional $12.95 per month). All you have to do is wear the waterproof gadget with the 3D accelerometer technology (same as what Wii uses), log in to the DirectLife member site to get help from professionals, and check out your stats as it is stored online.
Other than that, there is also the Philips' Activa. This just might be one of the smartest mp3 players available in the market today. Its built in accelerometer selects which song matches your movement. When you are jogging around town, you won't be serenaded by bossa novas or ballads which could make you rather sleepy. When you're doing your thing on your yoga mat, you sure would not get Radiohead on cue. After your workout, you could actually go online and check the stats on how well you moved to the groove.
So whether you are shaping up for the next summer vacation or you just think you got too much flab, the Philips' DirectLife line of products is meant for you.
