Panasonic showed the world last May 24, 2008 the power of their Evolta dry-cell batteries. They performed a robotic stunt for the said batteries’ promotion. A robot which was 17 centimeter tall and weighs 130 grams powered by a pair of Evolta batteries was able to climb a cliff at the Grand Canyon. After 6 hours and 45 minutes, the robot got elevated by 530 meters. Because of that, Guinness Book of World Records recognized the batteries as the longest-lasting of its kind. That makes Panasonic more proud since it is the first time that Guinness grant a record regarding batteries.

The Evolta alkaline batteries have been already released last April. They are not only long-lasting in term of providing power. They are also long-lasting in terms of shelf life since is also a Guinness record that Evolta can be stored up to 10 years without having battery leaks. It completely beats Duracell, Energizer and other brands of batteries when it comes to that matter. It is because of the new sealing technology applied on it which makes the materials more densely packed.

A pack of four can be availed at US$5.40
