With the road networks in the United States a lot more complicated than they were 10 years ago, perhaps it is quite understandable why getting a GPS device is an essential for every driver or vehicle owner. And when it comes to navigation systems, screen size does matters in more ways than one.

The Garmin StreetPilot 7200 is perhaps one of the toppers in the list when it comes to GPS devices with big displays. Although this navigation equipment was released around 2003, still a lot of trucks, RVs, and other long-distance vehicles get themselves rigged up with the Garmin StreetPilot 7200. And the big screen is just the tip of the iceberg.

The Garmin StreetPilot 7200 boasts of a 16:9 WQVGA screen with a resolution of 480 by 234 pixels. Aside from that the TFT screen also has the auto-adjust sensing capabilities when it comes to lighting conditions. Speaking of lighting conditions, all data is very readable in the screen, even bright sunlight.

Coming in with this product is an internal support for real time traffic information and text-to-speech command and notification features available in other Garmin GPS models. In addition, the Garmin 7200 also offers users three varying views of what’s ahead on the road – 3D (bird's eye); 2D track up; and 2D north up. The Garmin 7200 is also very compatible with with the optional GTM10 or GTM11 FM TMC receivers and the GXM 30 XM Satellite receiver.

The Garmin 7200 also comes with a heavy price, over the $250 mark. But with it are features that would certainly make the Garmin StreetPilot 7200 a wise and worthwhile upgrade one provide for his or her vehicle.
