Panasonic showed the world last May 24, 2008 the power of their Evolta dry-cell batteries. They performed a robotic stunt for the said batteries’ promotion. A robot which was 17 centimeter tall and weighs 130 grams powered by a pair of Evolta batteries was able to climb a cliff at the Grand Canyon. After 6 hours and 45 minutes, the robot got elevated by 530 meters. Because of that, Guinness Book of World Records recognized the batteries as the longest-lasting of its kind. That makes Panasonic more proud since it is the first time that Guinness grant a record regarding batteries.

Wrex the Dawg is a robotic junkyard dog that looks like it was made from various spare parts of machines which make it appear to be Frankenstein’s dog. The robot has two legs in front and two wheels at the back that enable it to move around your place in autonomous mode.
