Dash Navigation’s Dash Express GPS

Posted on 15 February 2008 by gadgets

These days, a traffic jam problem can start becoming less of a problem. At the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show, plenty of cool gadgets were exhibited including plenty of GPS devices. One really very good idea was Dash Navigation’s Dash Express. Unlike GPS devices of old, this navigation system has more features to it and is definitely more useful. Driving around will soon become hassle free for all people as Dash Navigation’s Dash Express provides amazing traffic assistance. The device will not only guide drivers through traffic snarls but also help in other details such as providing traffic- related information.

The device works well especially if many people will be using it. This is because Dash Navigation’s Dash Express utilizes other Dash Express units of other drivers along with other sources. The result then would be drivers receiving data of real- time traffic. Each Dash Express unit will be working just like a sensor and sending every driver’s location and speed to Dash Headquarters. There the data will be processed and the best- to- take routes will then be suggested to drivers in order to smoothen out traffic. Moreover, drivers can use the unit to find info on certain locations and info about fuel prices.

AlcoHawk Digital Alcohol Detector

Posted on 28 January 2008 by gadgets

Have you ever been to a party and worried a friend might have had too much to drink? You have had one of three choices: take his/her keys away, be the designated driver, or just hope you are wrong and your friend makes it home safely. Now, you have a forth option: The Alcohawk Digital Alcohol Detector.

Now, you do not have to take the change of your friend being stopped by the police, getting into an accident or hurting someone else. In many states, a host can be held liable if someone drives under the influence and hurts themselves or someone else.

Do not depend on the standard admission of “I only had a couple. I am fine.” Now you do not have to take the chance. The Alcohawk has a foldable mouthpiece and works similar to the ones used by professionals. Yet, it is small enough to fit in a pocket or on a keychain.

With a breath sample and a beep, you can quickly determine whether your guest is sober enough to drive home. If the sample shows intoxication, take the keys or offer a blanket and pillow for a sleepover.

Before someone gets pulled over or gets into an accident, be proactive. If you have a friend who risks the possibility of driving under the influence of alcohol, or you occasionally like to have a drink or two yourself, then the Alcohawk is the gadget for you. Thinkgeek(see right side banner) sells at $45.
