Nowadays, everyone is all about finding fuel efficient and environment friendly vehicles that do not compromise speed. There were a few that we could say really do meet the marker. However, we still have not found that oomph we are looking for. Sure, they may be fuel efficient and environment friendly, but they also come in boring designs. Where is the fun in that? Unlike most of these shenanigans, we found something that seems to be truly promising: the Mission One motorbike from Mission Motors.

Now, let's break down the things that we are looking for:

Fuel efficient? Definitely. This thing runs on electricity and a single charge can run up to 150 miles. So unless you go cross country, I doubt if you would finish up a single charge just in one day.

Environment friendly? You bet. Since it does not use fuel, it has lesser carbon emission, the main culprit in the dying state of our environment.

Sleek and stylish design? Hell yeah. Its concept brings back memories of Mask Rider Black, only this one comes in a little bit more color, but not overly colorful that you want to pass.

Fast? Lightning. The only electric motorbike that can reach speeds of up to 70mph in a matter of seconds, with a top speed of 200 mph. Now now, I just hope you don't reach that speed on the roads or you would probably end up with a ticket.

So every car ever made has this some sort of a lighter... a device usually found under the radio unit and is almost cylindrical in shape with a slightly wider head. There! Exactly that. As a parent, the hardest thing to let your teen touch would be the steering wheels. Once he sits behind it, images of drunk driving teens suddenly flood you and cause panic attacks. That is normal, every single parent experiences that in their lifetime. Sure, you could teach them when to slow down and when to speed up but that is if you are with them. What happens now as soon as you leave them alone in the company of their friends? Gah! Panic! For new drivers, the Tiwi is the device for you.

Tiwi is a device that is mounted on the left part of the car's windshield. What it does is simple - monitor your child all the way. The device knows when your son is driving beyond your set limit and it automatically prompts him about it. It also records a hard turn, brake or gas. It gives your child a recorded message reminding him about it. If he ignores it, it will automatically prompt you, the parent, via an automatic e-mail. It also has GPS which the parent can access even if he is not inside the car. This would allow you to track down where your child really is. It is also so smart that the company thought of integrating it to the car's diagnostics and it records (and prompts your child again) when he is not wearing his seatbelt.

The Tiwi retails at $299. The price may seem kind of expensive but if it is the price you have to pay to gain peace of mind, then so be it. However, expect hours of negotiation between you and your child on when you can take Tiwi off. He really would hate having someone to tell him to slow down when he is with his girlfriend, right?

We have been battling what seems to me is an infinite battle against technology. We are battling mobile phone usage in cars which has been causing thousands of car fatalities worldwide. However, as technology continues to evolve, so does the way of how the consumers embrace them. So when Ford announced that it is now launching a unique way of experiencing your mobile phone while driving, it received mixed emotions from the public. Some people are amazed that they can finally navigate through their mobile phones and keep their hands on the wheels and eyes on the road. Some people are not happy about it because they think that it would just cause more car accidents. What is it really that Ford plans on implementing on its new models?

According to Ford, their new technology called MyFord Touch will allow car owners to navigate through three different websites, namely Pandora (for music streaming), Stitcher (for the latest news), and Twitter (we all know what this one does), by connecting your mobile phone to MyFord Touch using Bluetooth. Because of the bluetooth sync, your car could also have WiFi capability wherever there is a mobile hot spot. That also means that you could navigate through your mobile phone without the pain of using one hand to push buttons and the other to hold the wheel. It is activated by voice controls which makes it safe to use while on the road... or so they say.

A lot of people are doubting the safety of the new MyFord Touch. If it was just normal calling via bluetooth, fine, people could accept that. But actually navigating your mobile phone and even tweeting? While you're on the road driving at 100mph, updating your friends via Tweeter just does not seem to be the smartest idea.

Do you remember the time when you had to park your car at the nearest spot where there is a local, roll down your windows and ask for directions? Now, due to the increasing number of technology advancements, those scenarios seem like decades ago. With GPS, or Global Positioning System, finding a place around town has never been so easy. And introducing the latest GPS from TomTom that incorporates simplicity with functionality is the TomTom Ease.

The TomTom Ease was first introduced during the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas last January 7, 2010. This GPS device is a no-nonsense gadget that has large buttons on its 3.5 inch touch screen monitor for easier use. It is considered an entry level GPS because of its features and functions but in our opinion, it has everything you need to stay on track.

The TomTom Ease has a function where you can save maps and plan routes accordingly. You could even edit a map, save it and share it with other TomTom Users. You could also access the database from thousands of users to find a map that suits your needs. Definitely, you will never lose your way wherever your car may take you.

According to rumors (because no price has been released on the TomTom Ease, yet), one unit would cost roughly around $100 to $120. Definitely not bad considering everything that it could give you in return.

If you are a first time car owner or if you simply want a GPS device that drives straight to the point without annoying extra features that you do not get to use, then the TomTom Ease is definitely for you.

Are you one of the people who actually give their cars names? I mean, don't laugh, our car has a name. Every time we go out, we refer to him using a name. "Honey, have you filled up Bugs' tank?" or "Where did we leave Bugs again?" Whenever something goes wrong with his engine, we take him to the hospital (a car repair shop). So if you are like me, then finally, our cars would respond whenever we try to talk to them. Not like Bumblebee (yet) but almost. The new technology from KIA allows voice controlled access to the car's radio player.

Kia partnered with Microsoft to create a car radio that responds to your voice commands. This was called UVO and it was so smart it was like talking to a real person. Kia had it tested it using the Kia Sorrento 2011 and the voice control was seamless. You could just tell it to "Play (radio station)" and it automatically scrolls toward that station. It also has a bluetooth device that connects to your mobile phone so you can actually call your contacts while you are driving. Just tell UVO to call "Brad" and it will ask you if you want to call the mobile number, home number or office number (if you have all three stored in your mobile phone). Respond and it will automatically dials Brad's number. Pretty neat, huh?

As of date, KIA will include UVO in Kia Sorrento 2011 and future KIA models there after. If I were other car manufacturers, they should start making a voice commanded radio player, too, much like UVO. We would love to see this in every car cruising the streets.
