Having a laptop has helped me big time.  My job (which is focused on writing) and school has been a lot more manageable with the help of my laptop.  It has helped me become more organized when talking about files, and at the same time, it has given me the opportunity to stay online and chat with my friends while I am doing my job or finishing some school papers.  That way, I still am able to maintain an active social life even with a lot of things to do.  Working at home with my laptop is very comfortable—it does not require a dress code nor does it entail rules and regulations.  I can do my job in whatever way I am comfortable with.  And my most favorite position is while I am comfortably half lying and half sitting on my couch with my laptop on my lap (I think it was named as such because it was meant to be on one’s lap).  With the laptop lilo, which is inflatable in less than two minutes, the air is kept away from my skin through the special heat resistant material it is specially made of.  It is also very easy to use and helpful for those who love working with their laptop on their lap because it is inclined to a ten degree angle which gives a more restful view while you are seated.

Having my own laptop has meant a lot of maintenance and add-on gadgets which somehow has turned out to be a big expense.  I have bought sleeves to ensure protection, silicon covers to ensure that the keyboard does not easily get dirty, USB flash drives to get portable memory, external hard drives to keep larger files, an optical mouse to make easier maneuvering, and a lot more to make my laptop work in different circumstances.  At some point, I have realized that I needed to cut down on expenses on gadgets to accessorize and supplement better and full operation of my computer.  These mini risers were the first thing that came to my mind when I recognized that I needed another thing for my best friend—something to prolong its coolness and avoid heating up too much.  They are just enough since my laptop does not really need those expensive risers with big fans to blow off the heat that comes from the laptop.  They even come in different colors which one can choose from.  Personally, getting more than just one color has not even cost me more than twenty bucks since they only cost $7.95 each.  The mini risers are just timely and sufficient for my current need.
