Long lasting Evolta Batteries

Panasonic showed the world last May 24, 2008 the power of their Evolta dry-cell batteries. They performed a robotic stunt for the said batteries’ promotion. A robot which was 17 centimeter tall and weighs 130 grams powered by a pair of Evolta batteries was able to climb a cliff at the Grand Canyon. After 6 hours and 45 minutes, the robot got elevated by 530 meters. Because of that, Guinness Book of World Records recognized the batteries as the longest-lasting of its kind. That makes Panasonic more proud since it is the first time that Guinness grant a record regarding batteries.

Alcohol + Robot equals Asahi Robot Bartender

Wouldn’t it be cool to have your own beer bartender at home? Wouldn’t it be cooler to have your own ROBOT beer bartender at home? Yes! That is right. There is already a robot beer bartender present and it is called the Asahi Robot bartender since it is created by Asahi Beer Company.

Asahi Beer has long been experimenting on robot bartenders and it is a success with this one. The Asahi Bartender was built in about 200 hours and it took full six months to complete its bartending skills to perform like a real pro. After is completion process, it is now able to serve its customer in less than two minutes. With the use of a hidden PC featuring a touch screen interface and runs Windows Vista, the robot is able to take beer bottles from a conveyor belt, take their caps off and turn them around in a whirling wheel.

The Asahi Robot bartender has been launched at Selfridges in the United Kingdom and it is notable that the robot chats with a very distinct British accent.
