Fine, we accept the fact that computers will continuously updated. The notebook I bought a year ago (which was the thousand dollar one - top of the line, latest, most advanced, et cetera) is almost phased out and its market price went down faster than I could type I GOT A NEW LAPTOP. I mean, how would my trusty OLD laptop compare to newer ones which are smaller, faster, and even detachable. And you would think - "Wait a minute, detachable?" And I am serious my friend, there really is a detachable one now. A tablet and a notebook synced into one but can be detached if you need not bring a notebook with you. That is the Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid Notebook.

The Lenovo Ideapad U1 Hybrid notebook takes technology to the next level. This notebook, err tablet, err both, is capable of working either as a notebook or a standalone tablet. The notebook's features are commendable - a Core 2 Duo processor, up to 128 GB of space and a Windows 7 Home Premium. The standalone tablet works quite well, too, with an 11.6 inch touchscreen display with its own processor and its very own Lenovo Skylight OS.

You might go on worrying about the camera, the speakers and the battery life on "Slate" mode. But worry not, since the 1.3 megapixel camera and the speakers are installed on the tablet so you could use it whether it is connected to the main body or not. Its battery life is astounding, too, running at almost 8 hours on a single charge.

If you are thinking of getting a tablet for easy and daily usage and a notebook for more complicated functions, why not get both in one purchase? Sweet.
