The iPad Wall
The iPad (I still cringe at the bad choice of brand name. Apple marketing, yoohoo?) is probably one of the most celebrated Apple products. Websites that are dedicated to rumors about it float around the internet even a year before it actually came out. However, Steve Jobs did a great job in concealing any detail about it. Heck, people didn't even get what it's going to be called (I still go for iSlate, mind you)! From the name to the tech specs, everything was just a rumor. However, now that the iPad has finally arrived, people can't stop thinking of ways on how they're going to use it.
That picture posted above? Well, it is Clarke Hopkins Clarke's idea on how they would make the iPad work for them. The Melbourne based architectural firm thinks that the Apple's products are so popular that almost everyone knows how to use them. So, installing an iPad Wall in public areas such as the library or the museum will definitely help the locals.
Imagine using the iPad Wall to search for book titles, browse the internet, and even watch a movie if they could find a way to make all the iPads sync together to form a large screen. The possibilities are endless.
However, for $499 per iPad, I am thinking one wall would need at least 20. So, do the math and ask yourself if this really is a practical idea? Nonetheless, I still hate the name iPad.
