CES 2010: e-Book Reading The Stylish Way
As technology continues to change and develop, so does the lives of ordinary people. We could reminisce the time when photos are taken using film cameras that either has 12, 24 or 36 shots. And you would think, 36 shots??? That is huge! But because of innovation, a single dinner with friends could have up to a hundred shots with digital cameras. And the music player! We moved from the WalkMan to the DiscMan and now, we could play thousands of songs in one day using the iPod with effing large disk space. Now, you need not hold on to books anymore. Imagine carrying hundreds of books in one single device weighing barely a pound. That is just priceless. You can switch from Dan Brown to Shakespeare to Sophie Kinsella on your 18 hour flights! Introducing the first proReader with the largest display to hit the market yet- Plastic Logic's Que (pronounced as "Q").
Que is by far the e-reader with the largest screen display measuring at 11.6 inches. Its screen is made of shatterproof material to make sure that your e-reader is always protected. Boasting of 4GB storage, Que can hold as much as 75,000 documents all at the same time. It also comes equipped with a WiFi for on the go browsing wherever you may be. All these comes pack despite its really thin body, measuring just 1/3 of an inch. With Que, you will never get out of touch because it could access your e-mail, contacts and other features from Microsoft Outlook.
But of course, all this comes with a price. A whopping $649 for an e-reader might be quite expensive but we will see how the crowd will react starting April, the official release of Plastic Logic's Que.
