If there is a gadget that you so long for, leave it to the Japanese to figure out how to make it work. For every lady out there, buying make up is not only an exciting task, it is also filled with a lot of decision making. So, say, you want to try on a new brand, it really is disappointing if it turns out not how you expect it to be. What a relief if you could try it on before buying it, right? After all, the saleslady doesn't really do a good job of picking the right colors for you. And the Japanese says : wish granted.

This is an Augmented Reality Mirror present in some of the department stores in Japan. It allows the user to look straight into the screen and her face is captured. After that, apply some of the make up located at the right panel of the screen. Each make up is actually a real product from a specific cosmetic brand and once you have the right mix of colors and something that you love, you could print the image and the details right away.

Show the printout to the saleslady who really doesn't do a good job in suggesting make up. So instead of her suggesting, wouldn't it be nice to have the make up printed out on a sheet of paper and she just needs to punch it in.
