Ermenegildo Zegna, a famous Italian clothing company, has recently introduced the Zegna Solar Ski Jacket which provides two functions: to warm up the wearer during the winter cold, and to charge multiple electronics devices.
This jacket has been designed to charge the most common consumer electronics products such as iPod, Blackberry, and mobile phones. Using the solar panel which is located on the jacket’s collar, the garment can get energy from the sun in order to power up various gadgets.
Another notable feature of this piece of clothing is that this has been designed to become water resistant.
Meanwhile, the company used two materials to create this garment. The first one is called neoprene which is a synthetic rubber that is extremely durable and fire resistant. The second material used for this is called Microtene which allows the jacket to be breathable despite its wind resistant and water resistant features.
With its environment features, this particular garment has been recognized by many as one of the most outstanding “green” products, which also serves as a reminder that one can be fashionable and environment-friendly as well.
The Zegna Solar Ski Jacket is priced at $1350.
