A clear and calm female voice gives the instructions which vary depending on the age of the person who needs the procedure. There are specific instructions intended for an adult, a child and a baby. There is also a pause button which can be used in order to not miss anything of the vital steps.

This LED flashlight is powered by two AAA batteries and is 4 inches long. The instructions given by this device are based on the AHA 2005 guidelines.
