Nokia’s Tablet?
When the competition against manufacturers is healthy, it is us consumers who benefit in the process. The last thing we want to happen is to see a really nice product monopolized with an out of this world price tag just because the manufacturers around know that they are the only ones available. So when the world started producing tablet PCs, one manufacturer to another has been announcing the launch of their own. Because Apple Macintosh has been causing Nokia to fall to their knees with the iPhone, Nokia will not let that happen again with the iPad.
Some people think that Nokia's attempts at coping are a bit mediocre, just like its so-called tablet phone. This is the Nokia N810, Nokia's latest addition to its products. Like others, I really can't tell if this really is a tablet since one, the screen size is just too small to be a tablet and two, it looks much like the Nokia N97. However, a tablet is how Nokia would call its new phone. For the design, I think that it is more of a PDA phone.
However, it has some pretty cool features that the iPod Touch (not the iPad) does not. For instance, the Nokia N810 does have a nice screen resolution of 800x480. While you need to zoom in and pan around websites in the iPod Touch, Nokia N810 displays websites as they are.
It also has a neat system RAM and system ROM, which makes the phone - err, tablet? - function better.
Overall, the Nokia N810 does look like a neat phone... but not exactly a tablet.
