The number of deaths related to violence is very much alarming nowadays. If we look at facts, a lot of these deaths are not easily resolved because the suspects have left the seen without any trace, whatsoever. What is even sadder is when the murder was committed using a gun, the bullets are the only proof. Once authorities use the bullets as lead, they would often arrive at an innocent bystander who would tell them, "My gun was stolen long before that happened!" That is why a German company specializing in creating intelligent guns came up with the idea of the Aramitix SmartGun, a gun that operates only when you are wearing the watch that comes with it.

The Aramitix SmartGun is the first of its kind, operating on a radio frequency transmitted from the watch to the gun. However, it does not mean that when you are wearing the watch, you will also be able to operate the gun. The watch has a built in fingerprint sensor that detects the real owner of the gun and only when the match is complete does the gun unlock.

This technology makes it easier for gun owners to make sure that the gun will not be used for crimes. On top of that, it adds more security if the gun owner has young children around the house.

The only negative factor we find with the Aramitix SmartGun is its price. For 7,000 euros, we don't think that our policemen are upgrading to it anytime soon.
